I was sad to hear the news about Mr. Wadenphul. I remember him well from the days at Marshall. He was a wonderful teacher and always had fun in his class. It sounds like he had great life! He will be missed by many.

So many fond memories of Ray - at Marshall Middle School. Now that I have a son in the 6th grade beginner band - it really comes full circle. Mr Wadenpfuhl gave me a wonderful foundation in music - Wonderful human being.
God Bless David Broussard

Ray, my mother Alma Wadenpfuhl Weber's brother, was absolutely nothing but pure goodness, even when he was suffering from various health problems or the vaious slings and arrows of life. His commitments to music, to his immediate and extended family, and to his church family were carried out with kind devotion. He did some wonderful work grafting camellias and in growing his orchids.
As the oldest Wad grandchild, I remember when Ray and Mary Claire were dating!!! Together, they became a perfect team with a love of service to others.
During our family get togethers at Mema's Ray, Karl, and my dad \would kid each other unmercifully, resulting in Aunt Lottie's soft chuckling, Karl dry and droll but mischievous, and Ray haplessly choking with belly shaking laughter. So many good memories of 23 of us stuffed into mema's 2 bedroom, one bath house.
Mary Claire, you and the entire family are in my thoughts. I know you are buoyed up by your faith while trying to absorb the pain of Ray's loss. Remember I love me my Texas family!!!!

Mary...I am so sorry that I am just learning of Ray's passing. My thoughts and prayers have been with you since learning of his health issues. Please know that I will continue to keep you in my prayers. He was a dear man...Kelli, my daughter, had him in school. In fact, she was the one that told me of his death. We both send our love. If there is anything that I can do...please call. You are very special to me. May God be with you during this time of loss and always. Love...Paula O'Neal

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Wadenpfuhl. He was my band instructor at Marshall Middle School. Mine was probably one of his last classes before he retired. He taught me to play the flute. I have such fond memories of him as a teacher. He was one of my favorites. My condolences to your family.
