To Martha and all the St. Romain family,
Your dad was such a tower of strength for all his wonderful girls. God's blessings on you at this difficult time. May you be comforted by God's promise of everlasting life.

To Dr. St. Romain's Family:
My parents and myself were patients for the whole 39 years of his practice. He was truly an exceptional doctor, a man of compassion and strength. When my husband and later our son came along, they were added to the fold. With our son, another generation was added to his practice. He was always a gentleman, and a gentle man. He will be remembered for his smile, his teasing wit, bringing his calming presence to any problem. He will be missed by his family of which he was so proud, his friends, and his former patients. Heaven is a little brighter now, and on earth the light has been dimmed. May your faith and your memories help you during this difficult time. Bye Dr. St. Romain.

I did not know Chester personally, but anytime Walter spoke of him, it was apparent that Walt thought very highly of him. In my experience, that speaks volumes. My heart goes out to Dianne, Mrs. St. Romain, and all of Dianne's sisters.

My memories of Chester are many and the following are but a few. Chester's love of running; I remember his running in Nederland and also traveling to Austin to enter races: Playing bridge at the beach; he was good at the game but didn't take it too seriously, so it was easy to be his partner: Bird watching; Chester carried his binoculars, and he and Roberta made finding an unusual bird an event: Eating; boy, did Chester enjoy food, and he could make short work of a plateful: Doctoring; Chester was as good a physician as could be found and served his family, friends and the community proudly and with humility: Visiting with family; Chester loved having loved ones around and would just sit back and take it all in, laughing and making sure everyone felt welcome: Husband to Roberta; being around the two of them was so special because there was such affection and respect: Friend; Chester was always kind, considerate, concerned, and warm.

You will be missed, Chester St. Romain, but you will be an example and an inspiration for the generations who follow.

What a wonderful man the Lord has called home. He was such a generous and thoughtful person and a wonderful doctor. How lucky to have had such a "Dad" like him. Stay strong in your faith and my God bless you all.

He treated my husband, 2 daughters and myself for many years when we lived in Port Neches. He was the most kindest doctor I ever had. He had so much compassion when my husband was sick and died. He was an angel on earth and Heaven has another angel.
