I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know your amazing and very brave son or your family, but I know your pain. I lost my 17 year old son in November 2008. There will be an emptiness in our hearts for the rest of our lives, but we will also find moments of joy. I pray that God will wrap you in his loving, comforting arms and help you on this journey.

We never ask for the title of grieving parent, nor do we want to wear these horrible concrete shoes, but someday, I hope we find a way to make them a little more comfortable until we can be with our boys again.

I have read Austin's obituary several times and my heart feels light for you. He sounds like an amazing young man, no wonder God wanted him back. I cannot explain the comfort found knowing our boys died loving our God, but you know the feeling too. maybe when Austin gets settled in Jacob will find him and they will spend all their heavenly days "shredding" comparing and sharing their love of guitars together.

I will pray for your family during this difficult time. I hope the photos I made will find their way to you.

God Bless you!

Austin Kyle,

I will miss you so very much...you always kept me laughing. I feel truly honored to have been a part of your life. You leave behind a little Austin in all of us: a desire to be fearless, to fully trust in God. I have sat for days now trying to figure out when you grew up so fast...going through your pictures and remembering the first time I held you, the way you used to talk to your Gaggy on the phone like a teenager, and you were four...the way you called Shanoah 'Mommy' .. for always, and how you were the biggest worry wart for everyone else, never for yourself. I love you so very much, beautiful baby boy. Keep a firm watch on your parents and Tanner and Kylie, as they are going to need it. See you in less than an hour, your time!

Austin,
I know we barely knew eachother and we barely talked, though i live in Michigan we still were able to talk to eachother about anything. I still remember our last conversation..(: i hope you do too. You will always be a peice of my heart that can never be broken or forgotten. I know God has a plan for you. Though you were so young there is a reason therefore i will not be filled with sorrow, yeah i will miss you but i know you lived an amazing life and that over all you would have no regrets, so i will be happy, for you Austin. I have your family in my prayers and all your friends, i know they miss you so much for you were an AMAZING boy. I love you and will miss you until the day comes when we will finally meet for the first time(: can't wait buddy!
with much love,

Shanoah, Joey, and family -- I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been thinking of you constantly since I heard about Austin's passing. I pray that you are blessed with great peace in knowing that he will never have to endure another needle, surgery, medicine, and all that he went through his entire life here on earth. He was a very brave boy who grew into a fine looking young man. You were chosen by God to raise this special child and you did so with great passion. You should have much confidence knowing that because of you, he was given the best of care and the best of life's opportunities to experience all things before his time on earth expired. He is not gone -- he is just "away" and you will see him again some day. Keep your memories very close.
I still remember him as that little boy waiting for his heart. God bless you and keep you all!
