We are praying for you all in this sad and tragic time. Kelby was a special young man with such a beautiful heart. When I met you at the hospital, I could see how close he was with all of you and how much he was loved. He will be sorely missed.

I feel so blessed that I had the honor of being Kelby's teacher. I did not know his parents, and I know that is no consolation for your loss, but please know that you must have done an amazing job as parents to raise such an awesome kid. I speak of Kelby often. He was the most polite, sweet, well mannered young man that I have ever taught. He always had a smile that was so contagious, and I was happy to see it everyday. I am so glad that I saw him just a few months ago and was able to see that smile again. My hearts mourns with his family and friends.

Hey Kelbs,
This is unbelievable and I wish that you were still here. For the past few days, I keep thinking that maybe if I would've just gone riding with you Sunday like you asked me that NONE of this would've happened and you would STILL be here. When you called me Saturday night and asked me to come over... I should have come and now I regret not coming to see you. I miss you Kelby Lynn and I can't wait to see you again... love you =)
Love, Lauren

Dianna, thank you for sharing your precious son with me. Kelby had the ability to use that hollywood smile and those rosie cheeks to melt your heart, of course he had that mastered at age one. I am so proud of the man he had become and only wish I would have told him so more often and hugged him longer each time I saw him. He is one of those kids who will stay with me forever. My heart breaks for you my friend and my prayers are with you.

Kelby = Just amazing.
It takes someone special to do what he did. It takes someone rare and remarkable. Nice, bright, and more beautiful inside and out. It takes someone who has a big heart and a caring soul. It takes someone who's proof of how precious a person can be. It takes someone...just like you...
Kelby touched the hearts of many and will be missed dearly. You will be thought of each and every day.
Diana, Terry, and Christina, My heart is reaching out to you, I’m thinking of you frequently, and praying for you, too. If there’s something I can do, anything at all, don’t hesitate to call.
Love you all, Taylor

Kelby had a heart as big as Texas and our world is a little bit darker without his light. When I came to work with his mom, he was maybe 6 or 7 years old. He barely knew me but he heard that I rescued a kitten from the plant and that she now had a boo-boo (she was recovering from spaying). Diana brought me the sweetest picture drawn by Kelby of the kitty playing with a ball "when she feels better" I believe is what he told his mom. The picture is still on my fridge. That was Kelby - leading with his heart. He will be sorely missed.
