Diane was incredibly influential in so many ways within so many people throughout her life that it could be easily said that her living legacy continues daily in the hearts and minds of those who she touched and therefore has become her definitive opus. God bless Diane 'Pattycake' Baker.

I am so happy and proud to be a part of the legacy that is Diane Baker's Big Blue Machine. We are truly blessed with an amazing musical heritage because of one woman's passion for music and people. Class of '88

Diane As I watch your memorial video many memories pass through my mind. You have truly touched so many people in your short life . I'm so happy to have been apart of your journey in life even though it was a long time ago. God blessed all of us with your gifts and love. I know you have your wings but I wish I could have talked to you one more time, but that day will come .Fly high my friend ♡

Ms. B We were never best friends and I'm pretty sure I never worked up the courage to call you Patty Cake, but you were one of the people I respected most in my life. You were such a profound influence on this little saxophone player and you instilled so many wonderful virtues in all of your students. We hadn't seen each other in close to 20 years, but your loss has hit me a lot harder than I ever thought it would. You were a force of nature and a fierce momma bear for those under your wing. So many of your lessons stick with me today and helped shape the adult I've become. I find myself using some of your phrases with my own children and I will tell them exactly who I learned them from. I'm so glad you're not in any pain and I know you're rejoicing with those who have gone before us. Love you, even after all these years, Mandi

Her spirit lives on forever in the thousands of lives that she touched musically and spiritually. Her family, friends and students will remember her and the virtues of discipline, focus and commitment, she taught, throughout their lives. God rest her soul and comfort those who mourn.

My dear friend from high school, college and a bridesmaid in my wedding circa 1970. Diane was the most caring person with God given talents that she shared with all of us. However, her talents were not limited to her music but also included her friendship, her kind heart and "can do" spirit. She would shine and literally feel a room with her presence.
Condolences and prayers to all of Diane's family, Sincerely, Charlotte

Diane Baker was an exceptional person. I had the good fortune to work with her for a number of years. During that time, I came to appreciate the things that made her stand out. She was a strict taskmaster who expected the best from her students and herself. She accomplished this with a mixture of passion for her work along with lots of compassion for her students. She was a winner in every sense of the word and her many accomplishments are testament to that drive for perfection. Diane Baker was a special person and she will be missed, but most of all, remembered!
