Dear Wynn family,
My name is Mary Katherine. I am the granddaughter of Mr. Nguyen, Van Nghi, first born in Port Arthur, Texas. My family had immigrated to the US from Vietnam in 1976. With great respect and such honor, I want to thank you, Mr. Dow and Audrey for helping my grandparents, parents and uncles to be Americans. Without Mr. and Mrs. Wynn, our family tree would not have been rooted here in Texas. As our family grow and expand, we now live comfortably, what we know today as home. We are truly blessed and thankful to have wonderful Sponsors to guide us through life, church and independence.
With English barriers from my grandparents and parents, I knew very little about the Wynn family. With deepest regrets, I wished I could have gotten to know my God Mother, Mrs. Audrey, as she gave me the most beautiful name I know. I hope to one day return to Texas and visit their memorial and find out more about Mr. Dow and Mrs. Audrey. I want to learn and hear stories of what wonderful people they were. On behalf of Mr. Nguyen Van Nghi family, our deepest condolences and prayers are with your family, always.

Audrey, you have blessed me so much the last year while I helped care for you...actually you cared for me in more ways than you knew! You were not like a Mom to me but like I said once to you... You're my Soul Sister! I will always remember our talks and laughter together...I will carry you in my heart forever....I love you eternally sweet Audrey!

We all adored Audrey and will treasure our fond and loving memories of her. She was always smiling and never said a negative word about anyone. May she rest in peace in the arms of her Lord.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Wynn from my time as an English major at Lamar in the early 1960's. What a kind and helpful person she was, always. I especially remember her profound spirituality.
