Jesse David Sheffield

Jesse David Sheffield, 92, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 24, 2016.  He was born on June 26, 1924, in Old Blox, Texas, to Mable Wofford Sheffield and Jesse Craig Sheffield.  Mr. Sheffield served his country in the United States Navy and later retired as a pipefitter and welder.

Survivors include his children, Mable White of Pine Hurst; Pamela VanCleave and her husband, Rex, of Sugarland; Linda Ramey and her husband, Rick, of Humble; Michael Sheffield of Prairieville, Louisiana; and Ronnie Sheffield of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Sheffield and his wife, Francis, of McKinney; and sister-in-law, Mary Sheffield of Spurger.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Opal Faye Sheffield; brother, Jack Sheffield; and son-in-law, Bobby White.

A gathering of Mr. Sheffield’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery, Spurger.
