Rodney L.
Bailey, 50, of Nederland, died Monday, July 29, 2013. He was born February 19,
1963, to Kathaleen and James C. Bailey in Nederland, and had been a lifelong
resident of the area. Rodney was a retired Correctional Officer with T.D.J.C.
and a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, in Nederland.
He is survived
by his wife, Cathy Bailey of Port Arthur; daughter, Ashley Marie Bailey Gamble
and her husband, Drew, of North Carolina; granddaughters, Makaylynn Galow and
Sofia Ann Gamble; father, James C. Bailey of Nederland; sisters, Connie Gregory
and her husband, James, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Cindy Aucoin of
Nederland; three nieces and five nephews.
Rodney is
preceded in death by his mother.
A gathering of Mr. Bailey's family and friends will begin at 8:00 a.m. with his funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon at Baker-Bell Cemetery in Fred. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Temple, 1011 Bowlin Avenue, Port Neches, Texas 77651.
