Karen Ruth Watson, 48, of Winnie,
passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. She was born in Orange County, California,
on February 22, 1965, to Sissy and Gene Watson.
Karen spent her childhood in
Florida and Tennessee, but lived the majority of her life in the Winnie area
and attended East Chambers High School. She was known by her family and friends
for her contagious and charming smile, regardless of any struggles she may have
had, but Karen always made the choice to be happy. She is finally at rest, and
was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Karen is survived by her four
beloved children, Ashley Chandler, Dustin Chandler, Andrew Phend, and Rayanne
Hill; grandson, Ashton Howard, all of Winnie; mother, Sissy Geisendorff of
Baytown; father, Gene Watson and his wife, Daisy of Newton; step-mother, Denise
Watson of Baytown; sister, Terry Watson Pitrucha and her husband, Stephen of
Baytown; brother, Billy Watson and his wife,
Amanda of Crosby; sister, Anna West and her husband, Jason of Baytown;
numerous nieces; nephews; and friends.
Cremation was under the direction
of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A private memorial service
with her family and friends will be held at a later date.
