Margaret Mary Kohl Wyble, 94, of Beaumont, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on July 17, 1918, in Shawneetown, Illinois, to Margaret Mary Drone Kohl and Emil John Kohl, and had been a longtime resident of the area.
Margaret graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in East St. Louis, Illinois. She served proudly in the United States Public Health Service during World War II as a Junior Assistant Nurse Officer. Margaret was a retired Registered Nurse with Christus St. Mary Hospital, Port Arthur, and was a lifelong devotee of The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Patricia Wyble of Sugar Land, Betty Wyble of Beaumont, Tommie Jean Wyble and Margaret Ann Wyble, both of Sugar Land; sons, James “Jimmy” Wyble and his wife, Diana, of Nederland and Robert Wyble and his wife, Becky, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Theresa Rokovich, Lisa Lemke, Melissa Galbreath, Brent Wyble, and Scott Wyble; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Thurston, Luke, John, Sophia, Samuel, and Jaxon; sister, Jean Mullin of New Jersey; special friends, Marian Kimbrough and Earlene Stewart; and numerous other loving family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Wiltz J. Wyble, Jr.
A gathering of Mrs. Wyble’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
