Talmadge H. Dunlap, 81, of Honey Island, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care, Silsbee. She was born on November 8, 1931, in Carthage, to Lula Mae Boyd Hemby and John Hemby. Talmadge was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Honey Island.
Survivors include her sons, George Kyler Dunlap, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Richmond and Thomas Dale Dunlap and his wife, Wanda, of Highland Village; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Verlon Jenkins and Billie Loftin, both of Silsbee; and brother, J. W. Hemby of Nederland.
A gathering of Mrs. Dunlap's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery, Kountze.
