Clarine "Connie" McLemore Cummins

Connie McLemore Cummins, 86, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013. She was born on April 9, 1926, in Litchfield, Nebraska, to Minnie Blanche Chapman and Kerney Alvin Strickland.
Survivors include her children, Robert L. McLemore, Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Jasper and Linda Strawther and her husband, Don, of Richmond; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Jean Davis of Kemah; and Kerney A. Strickland, Jr., and his wife, Patsey, of Greenbrier, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Cummins daughter, Diane M. Willis; and sisters, Allene Simmons and Luanne Hicklan.
The family would like to thank Silsbee Oaks Healthcare for the twelve years of loving care extended to Mrs. Cummins and to Odyssey Hospice for the care and kindness they extended.
A gathering of Mrs. Cummins family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
