Virginia Gail Wood, 60, of Vidor, died Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born on July 24, 1952, in Silsbee, to Doris Naomi Hargraves Drake Ringo and William Herbert Drake I. Virginia was a retired payroll clerk with Lamar University.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Wood; children, Lance Wood and his wife, Hope, of Village Mills; Jeremy Wood and his wife, Hilary, of Willis; and Ginnifer Wood of Vidor; stepfather, James Earl Ringo; grandchildren, Hanna Wood, Emma Wood, Luke Wood, Kathryn Wood, Jacob Wood, Vance Wood, and Kassie Flores; sisters, Margaret Reinhart of Spurger and Ann Weise and her husband, Chris, of Palestine; brother, William Herbert Drake II and his wife, Anna, of Silsbee.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Mrs. Wood’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Fellowship Church, 21544 FM 92, Fred. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
