Gilbert Wayne Evans, 53, of Orange, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, Beaumont. He was born September 13, 1959, to Lera and Charles Evans in San Augustine.
Survivors include his sisters, Darlene Evans of Groves, Dalene Socia and Dorothy Williams, both of San Augustine, and Glenda Gary of Nederland; brothers, Jerry Atkins, Edward Evans, Eric Evans, Thomas Evans, Curtis Evans and Chester Evans, all of San Augustine, William Evans of Vinton, Louisiana and David Evans of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents.
His graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Dickerson Cemetery, near San Augustine, Texas, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
