Roy Edward Truitt

Roy Edward Truitt, 87, of Saratoga, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  Roy was born in Crittenden, Kentucky, on January 16, 1925, to Mary Maude Greere Truitt and Chester Cirby Truitt.  Roy was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II and was retired from Mobil Oil Company as an instrument technologist.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Eric Loftin and his wife, Cindy, of Saratoga; Richard Loftin and his wife, Loretta, of Port Bolivar; Kristina Bishop of Highlands; and Christopher Bishop of Saratoga; and nine great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mr. Truitt’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Guedry Cemetery, Batson.
