Marie “Mo” Comeaux, 65, of Winnie, died Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born on June 7, 1947, in Anahuac to Hilda Mae Breaux Royer and Kirby Joseph Royer.
Mo played basketball for East Chambers while in school. She was a telephone operator and later became a manager for Al-T’s restaurant for several years. Mo enjoyed playing dominoes, participating in the football pots, going to the casinos and was supportive of different senior activities in our area. She also like to read, cook for her family and friends, listen to Country and Cajun music. Mo would get on her computer daily to email and to check out other websites including Broussard’s, and to check out her Face Book page to post and see what was going on with her family and friends.
She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything.
Mo is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ramirez and her husband, Ryan and Debbie Riley all of Winnie; grandchildren, Ashley and Jessica Daigle, Ryan, Kristin and Gloria Ramirez, Dustin Northcutt, Haley Bettis, and Presley Hosman; great-granddaughters, Zanei Mae Daigle and Leeanna Grace Northcutt; sister, Joyce Benoit and her husband, David of Winnie; brothers, Raymond Royer and his wife, Sandra of Crosby and Dalton Royer of Abilene; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Mrs. Comeaux’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with internment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Comeaux’s name to American Heart Association, P. O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284.
