Charlene L. Wilson, 90, of Beaumont, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on October 13, 1921, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Fay Lyon; she owned and operated a beauty shop for more than thirty years.
Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; after retirement she loved to travel and spend time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Wilson.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Wiley and his wife, Stephanie and Don Wiley and his wife, Julia; grandchildren, David Wiley and his wife, Judy; Stacy Wiley; Nicole Cheramie and her husband, David; Cindy Ramirez; and Erica Wiley; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeanine Pate.
A gathering of Mrs. Wilson’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
