Lydia "Momma" Lynn Braddock

Lydia Lynn “Momma” Braddock, 61, of Groves, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Methodist Hospital, Houston.  Born October 28, 1950, to Maryann Martinez and Tom Rivas, she had been a lifelong resident of Port Arthur.

Lydia is survived by her husband, Leslie Clay Braddock, Jr. of Groves; daughters, Christine Lynn Hanson and her husband, Jay and Elizabeth Ann McLain and her husband, Brian; grandchildren, Nicholas Hanson and Morgan McLain; sisters, Virginia Fichera and Nora Seaux; brothers, Larry Rivas and John Rivas; and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Maryann (Martinez) Rivas; sisters, Emilia (May) Romero and Ofelia (Fay) LeBlanc; and brothers, Lewis Rivas and Ronnie Rivas.

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland, with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
