Thomas “Tom” Edward Geheb, 55, of Beaumont died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.
A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born October 23, 1956, to Ellen Rottinghaus Geheb and Edward Geheb. Tom served in the United States Coast Guard for four years and during that time he was sent overseas to Yap and worked with sonar equipment. This began his passion for the field of audio-visual technology. Tom worked for Beaumont Independent School District for twenty years. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Martha McKinney Geheb of Beaumont; parents, Edward and Ellen Geheb of Potosi, MO; children, Bernadette and Wesley Spencer of Beaumont and Ike Geheb of Phoenix, AZ; brothers and sisters, Gayle Anderson of Mason City, IA, Bob Geheb, Pat Geheb, and Judy McClendon of Potosi, MO, Mary Jo White of St. Louis, MO, and Margaret Kilman of Smithton, IL; step-children, Lenora Pearman of Midwest City, OK, Janet Moore of Nome, TX, Carolyn Baldwin of Port Acres, TX, Lorie Roberson of Winnie, TX, and Darryll Rooks of Winnie, TX; and twenty-seven grandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow, Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 W. Highway 90, China, under the direction of Broussard’s. Cremation arrangements are being handled under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.
