Prentice Crawford

Prentice Crawford
December 22, 1946 - April 6, 2012

Prentice Crawford, 65, of Fred went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

 

He was a lifelong resident of Fred and was a heavy equipment mechanic.

 

Prentice is survived by his children, Melissa Jane Tyler and her husband, Homer, Jr. and Prentice Oliver Crawford and his wife, Shari all of Fred, and Deloria Jean Williams and her husband, Carl Allen of Silsbee; grandchildren, Michael E. Hooks, II, Marlena Joy Conner, Johnny Crawford, Angel Crawford, Josh Beaber, Patricia Crawford, Prentice Trey Crawford, Shannon Crawford, Colten Tucker Crawford, Joshua “Pack” Williams, Jacob Aaron Williams, and Carl Louie Williams, III; great grandchildren, Michael E. “Mikey” Hooks, III, Jase Randall Conner, Matic Ryan Crawford, Brenhan Aaron Williams, Caleb Truett Basinger, and Holly Michelle Crawford; sisters, Evelyn West, Bertie Mae Callaway, and Joella Broom; and brothers, Raymond Earl West and John Earl West.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Crawford; granddaughter, Leslie Renee Crawford; parents, Tucker and Eather Crawford; brothers, Leon Crawford, Ernest Ray Crawford, Ervin Crawford, Jerry Lee West, Bud Crawford, and Lee Oliver Crawford; and sister, Minnie Lee West.

 

His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  The funeral procession will travel by Prentice’s house on the way to Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred for interment.  A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, April 9, 2012, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
