Betsy Marie Minaldi, 96, of Nederland, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

 

She was born September 6, 1915, to Mary Tortorice Romano and Sam Romano. Betsy enjoyed cooking and was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband were active members of Catholic Life. She was an active member of the Altar Society, and a Charter member at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

 

Survivors include her sons; Larry Minaldi and his wife, Carleen of Nederland, David Minaldi and his wife, Carolyn of Plano, and Bobby Minaldi of Nederland; son-in-law, Robert Madding; grandchildren, Gary Minaldi and his wife, Vicky of LaBelle, Chris Minaldi and his wife, Leslie, and Corey Minaldi of Nederland, Troy Minaldi and his wife, Joan of Frisco, Andrea Minaldi Spivey of Plano,  Lindsey Madding of Houston, Lauren Grigsby and her husband, Jason, of Beaumont, Anthony Minaldi of Plano, and Bailey Minaldi of Mauriceville; ten great-grandchildren, Garrett, Jake and Josh Minaldi, Chandler, Raegan and Jordan Minaldi, Kendall Minaldi, Will and Shea Spivey, and Isabella Grigsby.

 

Betsy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Minaldi; daughter, Roxie Madding; and son, Randy Minaldi.

 

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s.
