Howard Earl Lowery
October 26, 1943 - April 2, 2012

Howard Earl Lowery, 68, of Nederland, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.

 

He was born October 26, 1943, in Century, Florida, to Lessie and Earl Lowery, and was a resident of the Nederland area since 1969. He was employed by Sinclair Coppers, also known as Arco, USI, Equistar, and Lydonnell, and worked there until the plant closed. He was a member of Pipefitters Local Union #195 and the Nederland Masonic Lodge.

 

Howard’s passions were fishing, camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, doing it yourself projects, and painting cars. He especially loved playing with his children when they were young. Howard also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and taking them fishing and boat riding. He believed in living life to its fullest and loved the life he lived.

 

Howard was married to the love of his life, Linda Bernice Harrell Lowery, for forty-six wonderful years. She will always treasure the memories of the life that they had built together.

 

Also left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Karen Lowery Drake and her husband, William of Lumberton and Maria Lowery Necastro and her husband, Greg of Little Elm; grandchildren, Katelynn Drake, Gabi Necastro, and Owen Necastro; mother, Lessie Lowery; brothers, Horace, Hayward, Joe, and Wyndell Lowery; and sisters, Helen Tedder, Hatti Chancery, Hazel Comlander, Minnie Byrd, Suzie Walker, and Sharon Ackerman.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lowery; and his grandson, Keith Drake.

 

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Broussard’s. A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, at Fairmount Cemetery in Fairmount, Texas, under the direction of Broussard’s.
