Georgia Pilgrim, 90, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Beaumont. Born November 23, 1921, to Margaret Ann McLanathan Zeagler and William Manning Zeagler in Jasper County, she had been a Beaumont resident since 1940. Georgia was a retired registered nurse with Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital and Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital, Beaumont.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Van Wormer and her husband, Ross of Bellville and Linda Thomas and her husband, Phil of Fredericksburg; sisters, Opal Hogan of Kirbyville, Ruth Walker of Lumberton and Juanita Colleps of Beaumont; grandchildren, Linda Diaz, Karen Strickland and her husband, Jay, John Van Wormer and his wife, Amy and Kate Baden and her husband, Derek; granddaughter-in-law, Chris Lind; and great grandchildren, Andrew Diaz, Brooklyn Carroll, Bradley Lind and Cory Strickland.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Henry Pilgrim; son, John Patrick Pilgrim; and grandson, Jerry Lind.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s.
