Paula La Salle Campbell, 85, of Port Acres, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Harbor Hospital, Beaumont. She was born December 5, 1926, in Abbeville, Louisiana to Marie Oniza Roi LaSalle and Ambrose La Salle. Paula enjoyed watching soap operas, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren to the fullest. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved life and loved people.
Paula is survived by her children, Elaine Campbell Taylor and her husband, Robert N. of Port Acres, Judy A. Devers and her husband, Kenneth D. of Fannett, and Don Campbell and his wife, Lori of Orangefield; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Belle Turner of Kaplan, Louisiana and Emma Lou Landry of Delcambre, Louisiana; and brother, Joseph La Salle of Kaplan, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles C. Campbell.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port Arthur, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Broussard’s.
