Betty Ann Winfrey, 63, of LaBelle, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012. She was born April 29, 1948, to Leona Jost Gotcher and Emmett Gotcher; Betty Ann had been a long time resident of LaBelle. She was a sales clerk at Wal-Mart.
Betty enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends every month; but most of all she loved celebrating all of their birthdays.
She was a great Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, and had many friends and relatives.
Survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Robert L. Winfrey of LaBelle; children, Robert L. Winfrey, Jr. and his wife, Dana of Groves, Deborah Winfrey of Sabine Pass, and Tommy Winfrey and his wife, Leanne of Nederland; grandchildren, Jessica Winfrey, Jeramey Winfrey, Madison Potter, and Macy Potter; and brothers, David Gotcher and his wife, Susan and Robert Gotcher and his wife, Judy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carrie Winfrey; and brothers, James Gotcher and Emmett Gotcher, Jr.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
