George Vikos, 88, of Beaumont, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1923, in New York, New York, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1989. He was retired from Pan Am as an aircraft mechanic, and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Survivors include his sons, George Vikos, Jr. of Staten Island, New York, Mark Vikos of Farmingdale, New York and Nicholas Vikos of Beaumont; daughter, Christine Vikos of Beaumont; grandchildren, Robert and Christina Russo-Vikos, Mathew Russo-Vikos, Mark Vikos, Jr., and Ariel Vikos; and brother, John Michael Vikos.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents, Christina and Emmanuel; and sister, Andrea Martini.
His graveside service will be 12:30 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
