Ervin Lee "Peanut" Simon

Ervin Lee “Peanut” Simon, 89, of Vidor, died Sunday, February 26, 2012. He was born on June 20, 1922, in Port Neches, to Elda Trahan Simon and Leonard James Simon.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shelda Randall and her husband, Robert of Vidor and Jackie Rabalais and her husband, Carl of Hammond, Louisiana; brother, L.C. Simon of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Julie Rigsby and her husband, Kyle of Lumberton, Aaron Randall and his wife, Christie of Vidor, Angela Randall and her husband, Dylan of Mauriceville, Philip Rabalais and his wife, Gillian of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Michael Rabalais of Hammond, Louisiana; and five great grandchildren, Katrine Rigsby, Jessica Rigsby, Joshua Rigsby, Daelyn Carmane, and Alexis Randall.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nola Simon; and granddaughter, Christy Peden.
A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012, with a Christian Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, under the direction of Broussard’s.
