Douglas Allred Moore
April 23, 1985 - February 24, 2012
Douglas Allred Moore, 26, of Beaumont died Friday, February 24, 2012.
A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Doug was born April 23, 1985 to Patricia Allred Moore and David Kenneth Moore and was Treasurer of Crawdad’s, Inc.
Doug graduated from Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School and went on to receive his masters at Crawdad’s University. Known as “Equipt-Mo” man at Kelly, he was a proud teammate of the football and soccer teams, with his mother as his most avid cheerleader in life. He was the ultimate Eagle Scout; hiking Philmont and enjoying camping with his dad and brother. He held celebrity status at Camp Ozark, where he loved to spend his summers. He was a true gift from God; an angel walking this earth. He was a child that had one pace, Doug-Speed. Doug captured a unique wisdom that allowed him to be the calming voice, always leaving us with a desire to .receive and listen to his thoughtful and unique perspective. His easy going, loving attitude won him friends and loved ones everywhere. Doug surrounded himself with a group of friends who not only took care of each other, but who looked at him as their protector, despite his smaller stature.
Doug partnered with his dad and brother at an early age; taking on the challenges and responsibilities of running the family business. His attitude and outlook were the keys to his accomplishments and successes. That same attitude, along with his constant smile, made him a favorite play partner of his nieces and nephews. Although Doug is the baby in the family, he is and always will be the cornerstone around which we build our lives.
A loving son, brother, uncle and friend… a man of true wisdom and God.
Survivors include his parents, Patricia and David Moore; sister, Emily Miller, her husband, Chris, and children Weston, Molly Grace and Maggie; sister, Molly Moore; brother, Dwight Moore, his wife Morgan, and children Walter, Milly, and Hudson; grandmother, Jan Allred, and great-grandmother Ima Allred.
