Thomas Goldman Wood, Jr.

Thomas Goldman Wood, Jr., 88, of Winnie and long-time resident of Louisville, Mississippi, died February 24, 2012, at the Arboretum Nursing Home of Winnie.   He was born on January 30, 1924, in Ponotoc, Mississippi. Thomas’s parents were Thomas Goldman Wood, Sr. and Opal Hall. He served with the Merchant Marines during World War II and later worked as an electrician in construction.   Thomas is survived by his sons, Thomas Wood and his wife, Charlotte of Baytown, Texas, and Tim Wood and his wife, Connie of Houston, Texas; sister, Pat Greene of Prentiss, Mississippi; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joy Sharp Wood; and son Terry Wood.  

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. February 27, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 540 E. John C. Stennis Drive, in Louisville, Mississippi, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie.
