Maribel Helen Ware Bost was born the 21st of November, 1932, in Beaumont, Texas, and died on the 22nd of February, 2012, after a twelve year struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Bost, Sr.; parents, Russell and Genevieve Ware; and brothers, Russell and Charles Kendall Ware.
Maribel was a life resident of Beaumont, Texas, having graduated from Beaumont High School in 1951, and Lamar University in Elementary Education. After raising her children, she was employed by area schools teaching art and other courses.
Maribel was an extraordinary vocalist; she sang in the renowned Melody Maids, musical productions, church choirs and carried a tune to the end. She was also an artist having studied and created numerous mediums throughout her lifetime. More importantly, Maribel was a devout Christian and loving mother to her immediate and extended family.
She is survived by her sons, Kip Price of Beaumont, Gregg Price of Farmington, New Mexico and Stanley Price of Houston; four grandchildren, Will, Alyssa, Kyle and Valerie Price; stepsons, David Bost, Jr. and Dr. Brent Bost; and her friend to the end, Charlene Leonard.
The family would like to thank the many friends, church members and caregivers for the love and support they gave Maribel during her lifetime.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cathedral in the Pines Church, 2350 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703; Alzheimer’s Association Beaumont Chapter, 700 North Street, Suite M., Beaumont, Texas 77701; or to a charity of one’s choice.
