W. C. "Wyatt" Jones

W. C. “Wyatt” Jones, 84, of Port Arthur died February 11, 2012 at Renaissance Hospital. Born December 5, 1927 in Guion, Texas, he was a co- resident of Port Acres and Bandera, and the son of Mabel Emily Harper Jones and Iron Charles Jones. W. C. was a United States World War II Navy Veteran and was a carpenter with Local 610. He liked hunting, fishing, gardening, outdoor activities, carpenter work, and time spent with family. He was a magical man, everyone who met him loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Loy B. Jones of Port Arthur; children, Wayne Jones and his wife, Christine and Donna Beaugh and her husband, Ned all of Port Acres and Trisha Boullion and her husband, Sheldon of Orangefield; step daughter, Angela Thames of Bridge City; stepson, Robby Willis and his wife, Brandee of San Antonio; brother, Douglas Jones and his wife, Billie of Port Acres; sister, Ruby Nell Vandewerker of Port Arthur; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Caroline Jones; brother, Dempsey Jones; and sister, Naomi Hemphill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port Arthur followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening, February 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
