Frances Joan Odom Foux, 68, of Beaumont, died Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas-Beaumont. A resident of the area since 1977, she was born in Buna to Dorothy Mae Simmons Odom and John Kelby Odom. She worked as a payroll clerk for thirty-two years at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Survivors include her son, John Traster and his wife, Debbie of Beaumont; brothers, Paul Odom, James Odom and Kenneth Odom, all of Vidor; sisters, LaNece Hayes of Waco, Tera Polk of Beaumont, Melba Odom of Vidor; three grandchildren, Shantell Winckler and her husband, Keith, Ashley Paule and her husband, Justin, and Dylan Traster; three great-grandchildren, Korbin Winckler, Ethan Winckler, and Tyler Winckler.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Val Leroy Traster; brother, Johnny Raymond Odom; and sisters, Dorothy Rae Duggins and Anita Dugas.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012, at Broussard’s. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Quicksand Cemetery, in Bon Wier, Texas.
