Annie Mae Fabre
May 4, 1931 - February 9, 2012

Annie Mae Fabre, 80, of Fannett died on February 9, 2012 at the Arboretum of Winnie.   A native of Youngsville, Louisiana, she was born on May 4, 1931 to Adam Maturin and Edolie Romero. Annie had live in the Winnie –Fannett areas for fifty-five years. She enjoyed being with her family and dancing and listening to Cajun music.  

Annie is survived by son, Howard Fabre and his wife, Celia of Nederland; daughters, Joy Aubey and her husband, George of Hamshire; Neva Johnson and her husband Lewis  and Patty Trahan and her husband, Luther all of Port Acres, Lucy Holst and her husband, Grady of Fannett, Faye Bauer and her husband, Hobart of Winnie, Bonnie Taylor and her husband, Bobby and Brenda Mueller and her husband, Ben all of Fannett, Joanna Pinder and Cheryl Matthews and her husband, Robert all of Hamshire; twenty-six grandchildren, Karen Babineaux and her husband, Brett, Willie Joe Fabre, Katie Wells, Tammy Sain and her husband, Mike, Tina Aubey, Buck Aubey, Terry Trahan and her husband, Trey, Monica Whitehead and her husband, Carl, Chad Johnson and his wife, Jeannie, Kristi Diaz, Mark Trahan, Lisa Broussard, Julie Saiu and her husband, Bryan, Gwen Ackley and husband, Marc, Maranda Breaux and her husband, Lanny, Jayne Smith and her husband, John, Ryan Bauer and his fiance, Mandi Thompson, Beau Taylor and his wife, Heather, Brooke Rivett and her husband, Jeremiah, Patrick Mueller, Ben Baker, Aaron Baker, Heather Pinder and her husband, Travis Bruce, Lauren Pinder, Robby Matthews and Brady Matthews; thirty-five great-grandchildren, Sophia Babineaux, Kamron Fabre, Jamie Pritchard, Kayla Sain, Shannon Sain, Kade Haranicky, Haylee Haranicky, Samatha Trahan, Isabella Trahan, Nicole Aubey, Madeline Aubey, Carley Chainey, Peyton Chainey, Jessica Archer, Blake LeJune, Bryce LeJune, Preston Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Carson Johnson, Alexander Diaz, Kristin Diaz, Madison Diaz, Konnor Broussard, Braydon Broussard, Drake Trahan, Keeley Saiu, Blade Saiu, Hannah Ackley, Austin Ackley, Joshua Smith, Cyan Rivett, Raynee Baker, Austin Baker, Autumn Baker, and Summer Bruce; one great-great-grandchild, Kaysn Diaz; brother, Walter Maturin and his wife, Elizabeth; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Fabre.   A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, February 11, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Rd, in Beaumont with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3098 N. Hwy 68, in Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, February 10, 2012, with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
