Lavonia Retherford, 87, of Lumberton died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
She had lived in the Lumberton area since 1981, and was a housewife.
Lavonia is survived by her husband, Edward Roland Retherford; children, JoAnn Leavins and her husband, Bill of Lumberton, Joan Zampini and her husband, Richard of Port Neches, Edward Retherford and his wife, Marie of Lumberton, and Joe Retherford of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Olin and Alice Worley; and siblings.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Hwy 326, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Broussard’s.
