Peter Joseph Rizzato, 72, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.
A native of China and resident of Beaumont most of his life, Peter was born July 31, 1939, to Ann and Pete Rizzato. He was a United States Army veteran having served in France and Germany, and was a professional landscaper.
Survivors include his sisters, Patricia A. Rizzato of China, Stella Stephens, (Tim) of Beaumont, Sandra Rizzato of Beaumont, and Diane C. Miller, (Rodger) of Conroe; brothers, John R. Rizzato, (Carolyn) of Lumberton, and Charlie W. Rizzato of China; a special friend, Jeanette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow, Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2012, at China Cemetery, Benoit Avenue, China, under the direction of Broussard’s.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his friend and caregiver, Rosie Morris; and to the doctors and nurses in Baptist ICU and Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
