Ernest "Ole Man" Seitz

Ernest “Ole Man” Seitz, Sr., 81 of Nederland, died January 19, 2012 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Born August 31, 1930 in Nederland, he was the son of Bertha May Abshire Seitz and Otto August Seitz and was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife and spending time with his family. He was a friend of Bill W for twenty-four years and was a good mechanic, carpenter and owned a shrimp boat called “Baby Bull.”
He is survived by his son, Marlin Seitz of Colorado; daughter, Brenda Boudreaux and her husband Hippo of Nederland; sister, Leola Lou Biggerstaff and her husband, Ron of Orland, California; granddaughters, Alethea, Emily, and Punky; and seven great grandchildren. He will be especially missed and loved by his faithful four-legged companion, Bunny. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy “Ole Lady” Seitz; son, Ernest August Seitz, Jr.; and sister, Lura Louise Busby.
Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Broussard’s Chapel, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at Broussard’s.
