Frank Roccaforte, Jr.
March 16, 1921 - January 19, 2012

Frank Roccaforte, Jr., 90 of Port Neches, died January 19, 2012 at Homeplace in Groves.  Born March 19, 1921 in Port Arthur and lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Roccaforte was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II.    He retired from Gulf Oil after thirty-four years as an insulator.  He loved gardening, football, making Italian sausage and having Sunday meals with his family.  Frank was a 1940 graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School and was on the Yellow Jacket football team.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Dian Stampley and her husband, Jimmie of Nederland and Gail Jones and her husband, Bill and Robin Patin all of Port Neches; brother, Carlo Roccaforte and his wife, Marilyn of Groves; sister-in-law, Hilda Roccaforte of Groves; grandchildren, Jennifer Bernard and her husband, Jay and Blake Patin; great grandson, Jace Sampley and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixty-six years, Billie Frances Roccaforte; sister, Rose Mooman; brother, Tony Roccaforte; and grandson, Rocky Stampley.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Broussard’s Chapel, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.  A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening, January 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
