Reyes "Alex" Davila, 47, of Beaumont died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Christus Hospital, St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Born in Monterey, Mexico on January 6, 1965, to Alicia Gutierrez and Albino Davila, he was a resident of the Mid-County area for the last ten years. Alex was employed as a silk screen printer with Thread's.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Davila of Beaumont; father, Albino Davila of Beaumont; grandmother, Antonia Gutierrez; children, Alan, Rogelio, Alex and Alexis Davila, all of Beaumont; sister, Blanca Alicia Flores of College Station; brothers, Roberto Albino Davila, Ricardo Arturo Davila, both of Beaumont; and Rogelio Armando Davila of College Station.
Alex is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Gutierrez.
A gathering of his family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Broussard’s.
A private family committal will be held at a later date.
