Helen Therese Farinella, 90, of Beaumont, died Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Harbor Hospice. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on January 21, 1921, to Josephine Liberto Fertitta and Joseph Fertitta.
Survivors include her children, Justin Farinella and Fran Strait, both of Beaumont, Jo Marie Roach of Spring, John Farinella, Jr. of Longview, Ron Farinella of New York, Chris Farinella of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, and Mary Flanigan of Lumberton; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Danna and Elvera Plaia.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Farinella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Saint Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Broussard’s.
