Linda Kay McGraw
January 6, 2012
Linda Kay Oldham McGraw was absent from the body and face to face with the Lord on January 6, 2012. She was born in Beaumont, Texas and was the second daughter of Elizabeth Joss Oldham and The Honorable Judge Herbert Oldham.
In her youth, she was a member of the Melody Maid singing group, and shared her voice, her sweet spirit, smiling eyes and gentle ways and had a true compassion for everyone she met. After graduation from Beaumont High School, Linda Kay received her Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University where she took an active leadership role in the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She then furthered her education at the University of Houston with a graduate degree in Pharmacy. After graduation, she had a very successful thirty-seven year career as a Registered Pharmacist at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She worked at St. Elizabeth until the time of her death.
Linda Kay was a well-known servant of the Lord. Her Christian faith was prominent in her life as she became a beloved friend to many. Her love for the Lord began as a child as her parents instilled their Christian faith as a member of the Westwood Bible Church, Bible Memory Association, Youth for Christ, Scripture Memory Fellowship and Berachah Church. Those life lessons made indelible impressions lasting a lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her beloved daughter, Katherine Elizabeth McGraw, MD; her sister, Elizabeth Oldham Fisher; her nephews, Herbert Fisher and Tara; Joss Fisher and Kasia all of Beaumont, Texas, and many cousins. She loved her family dearly and touched many lives along her journey here on earth and was an inspiration to all she met.
