Lucille Lane Hopkins Blanchette, 90, of Houston, Texas, died Friday January 13, 2012. She was born January 10, 1922, in Beaumont to Fay Regester and Walker Loyd Hopkins. Lucille spent the majority of her life living and working in Beaumont. After her daughters were grown, she moved to Crystal Beach, Texas where she worked for Galveston Independent School District. After retirement from GISD, she decided to move closer to her children and grandchildren, so she packed up and headed to Houston, Texas.   Survivors include her daughters, Carol Robbins, Sally Jones and her husband, Ron Meyers, all of Houston; grandchildren, Amy Graham Krieg, Lyle Graham and his wife, Sara, Jeffery Rebel Jones and Julie Lane Jones Ferguson, all of Houston; great grandchildren, Collin, Brana, Max, Tim and Liam; her sisters, Patsy Borland of Lafayette, Louisiana and Jackie Hopkins of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry E. Blanchette; her parents; and her brothers, Clyde and Loyd Hopkins.
