Dona Marie Robbins, 58, of Groves, died Friday, January 6, 2012. Born September 9, 1953, to John Elizabeth Vincent and Clifford E. Bergeron, Sr. in Port Arthur, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Dona was owner of Kopelli Kennels, Cheer Xpress and would also teach swimming. She enjoyed snow skiing, gardening, sewing, crocheting and was an extremely good crafter. Dona especially loved each of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Robbins of Groves; sons, William Van Pelt and his wife, Amy of Port Neches and Gregg Robbins and his wife, Danielle of Orangefield; daughter, Lori Robbins Worth and her husband, Jayson of Livingston; grandchildren, Taylor, Blake, Bryce, Gabriel, Brittany, Will, River, Delani and Ridge; brothers, Paul Amos Bergeron and his wife, Paula of Port Arthur, Clifford E. Bergeron, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Port Neches and Matthew Jay Bergeron and his wife, Kay of Port Neches; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jaden Cross; and brother, John Bergeron.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s.
