Margaret Milligan McKinley, 91, of Beaumont, passed away, Friday, January 6, 2012, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Margaret, affectionately known as Nanou, was born September 28, 1920, to Goldie and Hugh Milligan in Washington, Louisiana. She married Hal McKinley, Jr. on September 27, 1941.
Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Hal McKinley, Jr., of Beaumont; son, Ken H. McKinley, Sr. and his wife, Pam; two grandsons, Ken H. McKinley, Jr. and his wife, Amber of Lumberton and Thad McKinley and his wife, Ashley of College Station; granddaughter, Tasha McKinley of College Station; four great-grandchildren, Kierstin McKinley of College Station, Kyle McKinley, Kolby McKinley, and Colton Havard all of Lumberton; and sister, Elizabeth Childs of Beaumont.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Hal McKinley III, Ph.D.; and sister, Minyonn Wallace.
Her memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested that donations be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 297153, Houston, Texas 77292, Salvation Army of Beaumont, 2350 IH-10 East, Beaumont, Texas 77701, which were favorites of hers, or a charity of one’s choice.
