James A. Morgan
May 15, 1920 - January 5, 2012

James A. Morgan, 91, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 5, 2012, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, in Port Arthur. Born on May 15, 1920, to Grace Snider Morgan and Charley Lee Morgan in Cooper, Texas. James was a World War II United States Army veteran and a retired truck driver.

  Survivors include his children, J.A. Morgan, Jr. and his wife, Glenna of Crockett, J.W. Morgan of Pasadena, Linda Purser and her husband, Gary of Dacula Georgia, Deborrah Simmons of Jasper, and Charles Lee Morgan of LaBelle; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.   He is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Belle Morgan.   His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, at LaBelle Baptist Church, 9400 FM 365, LaBelle, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North  Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett. A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Broussard’s.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LaBelle Baptist Church, Disaster Ministry, 9400 FM 365, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
