Romana Oliva Nieto

Romana Oliva Nieto, 83, of Beaumont died December 31, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born August 9, 1928 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, she was the daughter of Epitacia Hernandez and Juan Oliva and had been a resident of Beaumont for fifteen years.
She is survived by her sons, Vidal Nieto and Arnulfo Nieto both of Beaumont, Hilario Nieto of Aguascalientes, Mexico, Marcial Nieto of Chicago, Illinois and Marcelo Nieto of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; daughters, Aurora Nieto and Minerva Nieto both of Beaumont; twenty-two grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Maria Jesus Nieto, Clemencia Nieto and Paula Nieto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, January 3, 2012 at Broussard’s.
