Lunamae Wagner Blackburn, 88, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, died on December 30, 2011, in Centreville, Virginia.
She was born September 15, 1923, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to Evie Mae Hoffpauir Wagner and Ernest Wagner. Lunamae married Henry Wayne Blackburn on January 29, 1947. After thirty years of service she retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Lunamae is survived by her sister, Marjorie Butler and her husband, Rex of Virginia; nieces Glynda Barnes and her husband, Oren of Virginia, and Gail Anderson and her husband, Henry of Maryland; nephews, Ernest Wagner and his wife, Diane of Illinois, and Lannie Wagner and his wife, Judy of New York; and sister-in-law, Lela Wagner of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Blackburn; and brother, Ernest Elmer Wagner.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
