Linda Stanley, 64, of Hamshire, died Monday, December 26, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.
She was born May 5, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama, to Voncile Havard Bush and L.J. Bush. Linda had lived most of her life in Houston, and later moved to Beaumont where she had resided for the last thirty-five years.
Survivors include her husband, Reverend Billy Stanley, Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Tabernacle, of Hamshire; daughter, Kimberlye Bear and her husband, Scott of Hamshire; son, Stan Stanley of Austin; daughter, Kelly Smith of Beaumont; daughter, Dana Torres and her husband, Lalo of Austin; grandchildren, Hannah Bear, Leah Bear, Nicholas Stanley, Grace Stanley, Taylor Dunaway, Chandler Smith, Maya Torres, and Luca Torres; great-granddaughter, Emma Brekel; sisters, Diane Flower, Katherine Dyer, and Gloria Scott and her husband, Jerry; brothers, Michael Bush and his wife, Pam, and Ricky Bush and his wife, Coco; and numerous other family members and friends.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Calvary Tabernacle, 1135 Chamberlin Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at The Apostolic Church, 3333 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
