Stacy Lee Rieger, 41, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011, as a result of a train accident near Navasota, Texas.
He was born in Amarillo, Texas and has lived in the Lumberton area since 2007. He was a graduate from Durant High School in Durant, Oklahoma and this is also where he met his wife Ann of nearly 18 years. He was currently employed as a conductor for BNSF Railroad and served our great nation in the U.S. Army for fourteen years. He served in the Gulf War, Bosnia conflict and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Stacy is survived by his wife, Ann Rieger; children, Elizabeth Roberts of Twin Falls, Idaho, Joell Rieger of Durant, Oklahoma, Tiffanie Rieger, Jordan Rieger and Michaela Rieger; grandchildren, A.J. Rieger and Kelsie Rieger; mother, Barbara Rieger and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, David Bruce and Dollie Irene Rieger and aunt, Linda Rieger.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Crestwood Baptist Church, 1150 Highway 69 S, three miles North of Lumberton High School.A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, in Silsbee.
