Myrtis Mae Benson “Grannie Lindeman”, 90, of Silsbee, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Grannie was born in Kilburne, Louisiana and has lived in the Silsbee area for 22 years. She was a retired Christian Daycare worker. She was a member of Cathedral in The Pines, Beaumont, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Earl Lindeman and his wife Sue of Silsbee; grandchildren, Randy Lindeman and his wife Cindy, Brad Lindeman and his wife Lisa all of Lumberton; great grandchildren, Meagan Lindeman, Andrew Lindeman, Matthew Lindeman and Brandon Lindeman and great niece, Lindsey Hodges of Silsbee.
Myrtis is preceded in death by her father and mother, Oscar and Hattie Howell; Kenneth’s dad Abe Lindeman; brother, C.L. Howell and sister, Evelyn McDougle.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, at First Assembly of God, 950 Highway 96 South, Silsbee,with the burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Grannie was very mission minded therefore, in lieu of flowers please make donations to the foreign missions department of your choice.
