Elizabeth “Betsy” Jane Zimmerman Cook, 81, of Beaumont died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Dubuis Hospital, Beaumont. She was born January 28, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Hannah Marie Zimmerman and William J. Zimmerman. A Beaumont resident since 1981, she was a retired administrator with Buckner Children’s Home.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, James H. Cook of Beaumont; son, Jim Cook and his wife, Debbie of Manvel; daughters, Cindy Wolfe and her husband, Chris of Lumberton and Nancy Lewen of Canada; grandchildren, Michelle Foxworth and her husband, Joel, Chris Wolfe and his wife, Alisha, Brian Wolfe and his fiance’, Brandi Fourt, Kim Beers and her husband, Sean, Jennifer Finnegan and her fiance’, Scott, and Joe Finnegan; and great grandchildren, Bethany, Kyla, Ikey, and Noah.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2011, at Broussard’s. Burial will be held at a later date through Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
